A year of Blogging
One year ago my wife and I moved from Birmingham, Ala. to a small town on Lake Guntersville, Ala. We moved into Sarah’s parents’ lake cabin where we planned to take a 6 month sabbatical away from work and school. I decided to start a blog to record the stories and notable moments of our time off.
I’d never blogged before in my life. I’d never even read a blog. However, now that I’ve been blogging for a year, I’ve become somewhat addicted to it. As of late I haven’t posted much simply because we’ve been busy. I’d like to change that. My goal this year is to post more than what I did last year and make this blog a part of my weekly routine.
Sure the stories won’t be as interesting as living on a lake watching eagles soar above us as we drink coffee on a pier. But, life is always interesting if you’re paying attention. Thanks for making my first year of blogging a fun one. Here are some stats collected by Google Analytics.

I know these numbers are low compared to some of you Super-Bloggers. But I’ve enjoyed watching them pile up. I hope they’ll be bigger next year…wink, wink, nudge, nudge. (Tell a friend.)
