Easy as pie: “Delicious Caramel Apple Pie”

Fellas, this is an easy way to impress your woman. I cooked it last night for Valentine’s day. It’s really easy. Give it a try.
About 5 years ago my family started having Christmas at my cousin’s house in Troy, Ala. Everyone would bring their own dish and people would ooh and ahh over them. The problem was that I didn’t have anything to bring. I felt left out. Granted that I was the only man other than my dad and my cousin’s husband. So, I decided the next year that I was going to bring something for the whole family to enjoy at Christmas.
I wanted to bring a pie. An apple pie. The first couple tries were disastrous. Yummy but disastrous. That’s when I started practicing my apple pie. This recipe has evolved from chaos to a pretty good dessert. Here is my recipe for “Delicious Caramel Apple Pie.” Enjoy. Warning, it is very sweet. Very sweet.

Ingredients:
1 Green apple

2 14 oz. cans of Sweetened Condensed Milk

1 Graham cracker piecrust

Directions:

Remove the label from the cans of sweetened condensed milk
Place unopened cans in large pot
Cover cans with water and bring pot to boil on stove top
Boil cans in pot for 2 ½ hours (This caramelizes the milk)

Remove peel from apple
Cut apple into small pieces and remove seeds
Rinse apple pieces and drain in the sink
Pour apple pieces into graham cracker piecrust
Pour one can of caramelized sweetened condensed milk into the pie crust
Mix gently…very gently the apples into the caramel
Pour second can of caramelized sweetened condensed milk on top of apple pieces
Gently spread evenly
Place clear top on pie and let cool in freezer over night.
Remove from freezer and let thaw.
Serve. Eat.
Please let me know how it works out for you. I want your feedback.
